After my trial pricing run the same friend I mentioned in my previous post referred a client from her salon to me. The client wanted a batman suit to be altered for her 3 year old son.
Alterations are not my favourite sewing and I cringe when people ask me about doing it. But this time I thought I need to look at it differently. It may mean a customer who will return for a quilt or something else to be made.
As it turned out the alteration took me an hour and a half. They paid me R100 for the work done. So in effect I have made my first R100 with little effort.
